For our client from the logistics - sector we are looking for a Data Engineer – IT Security Department (m / f / d) – 100 % Remote at the earliest possible date.

The weekly working time is 40 hours and the assignment can be 100% remote. The duration of the assignment is 8 months with the option of extension by our customer.

Your tasks: 

  • Development of new reporting capabilities within IT Security

  • Management, optimization of existing data loads into the system, inclusion of new data sources

  • Maintenance of IT Risk Reporting system (system administration / database administration)

  • Control over data quality in the system

  • Documenting existing solutions

  • Support in Vulnerability Management system administration

  • Facilitate process of management and risk owners reporting

Your skills:  

  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Willing to learn and grow in IT Security area

  • High level of knowledge of automation / BI solutions (Power BI) and experience in working with them

  • Proven experience with Power BI, including implementing Row-Level Security (RLS), managing access to workspaces and datasets, and configuring permissions to ensure secure and efficient data access

  • Experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing Python scripts for data processing and automation tasks

  • Solid understanding of database systems, data structures, and algorithms

  • Experience in assisting in the evaluation and development of enhancements to automate process for reporting purposes

  • Familiarity with server management, maintenance, and troubleshooting

  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal skills, and intercultural competency including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict

  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with a diverse workforce

  • Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, Data modeling, ETL (Pentaho, ADF, Informatica or others)

  • Hands on experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Oracle database

  • Sound knowledge of data warehouse architectures, technologies, and their implementation

  • knowledge of PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation

  • Experience with Agile methods managed projects

  • Effective communication, systematic and independent working style
