The challenge

A tier 1 bank needed to be more flexible and responsive to change in the current climate.

They partnered with emagine to implement Agile methodologies within their organisation. When dealing with aggressive regulatory commitments, a lack of automated testing and growing technical debt left them with increasing costs and delivery times. Production issues affected client satisfaction, and productivity was waning due to long hours trying to meet deadlines.

 

Actions and outcomes

Implementing a comprehensive SAFe Agile Framework strategy requires a significant investment of time and resources. Over the course of 18 months, a dedicated team of 150 specialists was carefully assembled and strategically deployed across five international locations.

As a result, the bank's cross-functional teams are now delivering on all requirements and adapting to business change every two weeks. There is high visibility and insight on each project and improved satisfaction for both clients and staff. We have reduced technical debt and increased automated testing coverage.
